The name, LoveAt350, pronounced (Love at Three Five Oh) is a singles dating website for people in, or someone who may want to meet someone in the aviation or transportation community. 

LoveAt350 combines two terms; The first one is obvious and the other that is common terminology among pilots and air traffic controllers.

The “Love At” comes from people in the aviation community who are alone and looking for their significant other, but due to their job they are having difficulty even meeting people. Pilots, Flight Attendants, Mechanics, Air Traffic Controllers, Customer Service Agents, Handlers, Caterers, everyone who has anything to do with any airlines probably works odd days and odd hours.  Very, very few, if anyone, in the transportation industry works Monday through Friday 9 to 5.  We all go different places for different amounts of time and come back at all hours of the day and night.  People in the aviation community have a completely different lifestyle than most people.  We have such a unique lifestyle that many people cannot understand our lifestyle at all.  From that, it is very difficult for single men and women to meet each other.

“350” comes from a common radio transmission from air traffic controllers to pilots in commercial airliners.  Many commercial airliners fly at 35,000 feet, or Flight Level 350, hence the 350.  The common term that is heard is an air traffic controller telling a pilot flying an airplane to Climb to 350, or Climb to 35,000 feet.

LoveAt350 is specifically designed for people who may want to meet other people in the aviation community or for someone outside the aviation community to meet someone in the aviation industry.
